I know that many people have suggested this many times and the like, but since 1.5 is kind of a PvP update (along with redstone) I think that there should be a wider variety of tools and/or weapons like a warhammer or just a hammer.
A crossbow could be nice, maybe it can shoot further than a normal bow and causes more damage, but requires you to reload it which takes at the most 3-5 seconds.
A warhammer could be useful, as it could be able to deal tons of damage, but a slow swing animation causes you to time your swings carefully.
More ores! I know it doesn't say that in the title, but since Nether Quartz is being added then why not some more ores that can be used for a variety of crafting recipies.
A dagger can also be nice, as it can deal tons of damage from the back, but is very weak in the front. The dagger could probably be swung at a higher rate due to its small size. It could also probably be thrown, too. That would make it a close-range projectile.
Sometimes you need a gun, a very basic flintlock. It probably requires gunpowder (of course it does, ya dummy!) and a crafting recipe for the metal balls that you shoot (probably also requires gunpowder. And iron. Probably some cobblestone/stone, too.)
I know that you, Nathan/Jens/Markus, won't probably give this a second glance, but another ranged weapon and another close-range weapon would be really nice.
