Now that I have some cats (keeping the creepers away from a couple of things I don't want blown up) I'm doing a bit more fishing. I like fishing in Minecraft; I'm a simple sort of guy. Have a few thoughts though:
1) It doesn't seem quite right that I can fish in a single water source block. Maybe it should be that you need a minimum of four of something? And, if I make the pool myself, maybe I should have to 'stock' the pool before I can expect fish to be in it - or at least wait a few Minecraft days. Perhaps I do this by adding a raw fish I've got from a natural water source to a bucket of water - which I then add to my pool?
2) How about a couple of different fish - perhaps every once in a while a bigger one, different colour. One that is perhaps a little harder to land or gives me a bit of a fight? And gives me 5 hunger thingos for my effort.
3) LOL maybe if it's a swordfish I can get a sword from it that has some special property - can't think what that might be. At this stage, this idea is just a joke.
4) The sea is totally safe because it's pretty much empty, except for squid. Why not a few dangerous sea mobs? Crocodiles or sharks come to mind. Whatever sea creature, I think it has to have some use, should furnish us with something useful. Shark skin - sandpaper, no use at all. Crocodile skin - leather accessories so maybe armour? What about piranhas in fresh water. Might be good if crossing a river is dangerous - they'd probably behave a little like silverfish except they'd only be interested in you if you are not at 100% health i.e. 'bleeding'. I don't think you should be able to attack them with anything, just get out of the river fast.
5) getting a little off-topic here, but following on from 4 I would love to see how the guys design a Minecraft python.
1. I don't really see a point in having to stock a man-made fishing hole. It makes sense in real life, but in Minecraft it would just be a hassle. (More variety in fish would be pretty cool, though.)
2. Additional sea mobs have been suggested many, many times. Try using the search bar before making any suggestions to make sure they haven't been stated before.

Yep, that and also please don't post wishlists (suggestions with more than one idea in the topic) and try to go into a little more detail when posting a suggestion
