This has probably been brought up before, and I'm fairly sure it's not a bug, so please excuse me if I put this in the wrong forum; The suggestions forum seemed most logical.
I also apologize for this seeming late, because 1.4.7 has likely become the center of attention. Please bear with me.
While experimenting with the new redstone components introduced in 13w01, I discovered that redstone torches do not respond to 1-tick pulses anymore. This means that many of my piston contraptions are rendered useless.
I suspect the change was intentional as the description of the new snapshot included making redstone more "consistent."
I'm sure many redstone users out there can appreciate what this means for circuits.
To cope with this change many redstone users who are familiar with pistons will need to significantly expand the size of their circuits.
In my experience, redstone was very stable before this snapshot so In my opinion the change is unnecessary and user-unfriendly.
For those of you who aren't quite grasping what I'm saying, one-tick pulses are an important part of making quick or complicated piston mechanisms due to the fact that pistons require a two-tick pulse to fully extend. (A redstone tick, by the way, is 1/10 of a second) That means applying a one-tick pulse to a sticky piston will push the attached block but will not pull it back until the piston is pulsed again. Basically it allows you to combine the functionality of normal and sticky pistons into one piston.
Getting these one-tick pulses to their destinations is tricky; the only ways to repeat one-tick pulses are to use repeaters on their lowest setting (don't get me started on delaying them) or to use redstone torches in pairs.
The most recent snapshot removed that second option. That means it's impossible to invert a one-tick pulse.
So Please let Redstone torches respond to one-tick pulses again, for the convinience of everyone who uses redstone.

Curse PremiumWhy does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
I don't think it's a RAM issue because In-game I always have a huge surplus of it.
