Okay, so I was working on some redstone stuff, and I was having some trouble. So I got a idea.
A Redstone repeater that has one port, and 3 ways out. Kinda like the repeater we have now, but with 3 different ways out!
But but... you could also just split the output into three dust lines. This is just too... useless. It's not a bad idea, but it's just not that useful.
For long sequences of delayed circuits that require you to pass on the delayed signal AND have an output without skipping blocks in between (such as monorails), this is required. I have often wanted one myself. Support.
(Although I think that recipe is a bit over the top. It's really just a different version of the current, so I feel it should have a similarly priced recipe. Having to make 3 repeaters and use 2 iron for every one will limit it's use in survival mode.)
This wouldn't be handy at all. The same effect could be achieved -1 power by placing a repeater right before where this thing would go and then just branching off the redstone with a block or redstone where this would go. This is pointless, sorry. I use redstone a fair bit, and I can't see ever using this except in some very weird scenarios.
No support.

I can't imagine where you would ever need a "three-way repeater".
There's only a single situation. Well, two, technically speaking, but they're just variations of the same thing. And these situations come up rarely. So, no, I agree that this has little use and therefore I don't support.

I need to know exactly when you would need to use this. Right now it seems fairly useless considering all you need to do to get the same effect is back the repeater back one block and split the wire.
I have no doubt that this would be useful on some circuits, but if we added a new redstone type block for every circuit imaginable we'd have more circuit blocks than the rest of the blocks combined.
No support unless you can explain why this is needed, and it isn't a reason like "I could make X without making it one block wider". It needs to be broad and useful to many people.

Oh my gosh.. People dont know how to express there thoughts..
Tutorial on How to Express your thought.
1: Look over the thread/comment.
2: Think about what your going to say.
3: Comment ONCE expressing what you want.
4: Don't spam on people's threads!
Why would this be useful:
1: I can run 3 Pistons/Redstone lanterns with one block in stead of only being able to use 1. 2: Easier in circuits 3: My, my if your statements are true... Then why are more people supporting then not supporting?

4: Don't spam on people's threads! As much as I would love to rave at you for this, it would just make you happier. So I'll leave it at the fact that criticism is not the same thing as spam.
Why would this be useful:
1: I can run 3 Pistons/Redstone lanterns with one block in stead of only being able to use 1. You can already. Place the redstone dust on top of a block right behind the piston. So that the redstone is one block behind and above the piston itself:
Assuming the wood is any generic block, the iron is redstone, and the Notch head is a piston. I apologize for making my point like that, but I'm on a laptop.
2: Easier in circuits Barely. It saves maybe 1 blocks of space, 2 at the most. There are very few situations where this would absolutely required.
3: My, my if your statements are true... Then why are more people supporting then not supporting? Because people support anything they find "neato-burrito", whether it's good, bad, or 4chan bad. There are supporters for tanks, (modern) guns, planes, lasers, blue pigs that drop ice cubes, random dimensions that give you free diamonds, hamburgers...the list goes on. And yes, all of these arerealthings.

1. I did - quite well. It wasn't long.
2. I did. A three way redstone repeater would have very little use in redstone contraptions. It would be so limited in use that is isn't worth adding - the workarounds would do fine in virtually every case.
3. Why? This is a discussion, not a simple yes/no. If one wanted that they could just leave a poll and tell no one to respond. A discussion over an idea includes debate, constructive criticism, and new ideas. That can't happen if every person is limited by convention to one comment - and it certainly doesn't work that way on this forum.
4. It's not spamming - it's discussion. 3 posts is by no means spamming, and since I've filled my posts up until this one with material relevant to the idea it isn't as though I'm just posting "No! Awful!" over and over again. I'm giving my reasons and attempting to convince others to agree with me. That is how debate and discussion works.

1. This setup will suffice in the exact same way: B = block, R = redstone, P = piston:
_P_
PBP
_R_
_R_
That will power all of the pistons. Problem solved without an entirely new repeater type.
2. How? There are only a few situations involving circuit strength combined with a need to split three ways where this would actually be even mildly useful. Since the crafting recipe contains three repeaters in almost every scenario it is easier to use just three.
3. Because almost every idea has a support > .5. If half of the minecraft communities disagrees, there is no way Mojang will consider adding the idea. They're the ones you are trying to convince. But the community supporting adds credence and weight to your idea.

Again, splitting a wire is the most common solution. The only actual use I can think of is when you have to direct the power IN a block. Which would normally be achieved by a repeater, but if there isn't enough space... let me illustrate below:
= placeholder/air
= block that needs power (GIVE POWER TO DEM SHEEP SO THEY CAN RULE EVERYTHING!)
= available place/this threeway thingy
= input
"Seen from above, this is." ~Yoda.
But these situations almost never come across, and can be easily circumvented. So again, no support, because it does not have enough practical uses.
Okay, I'm said to hear that. But that's up to you. Thanks for commenting.

Actually, splitting the wire would be easier.
To you, maybe, to me, oh no.

Unfortunately, one should really be shooting for above 90% before it can start to be considered a truly successful idea...
