Have you ever wanted to make a creepy haunted house or something that would benefit from blood-red or slime-green water? Well I think that you should be able to dye the water by right clicking the water source block, or by putting a water bucket in a crafting bench. I think that this could be great for creative buildings to give it a bit more of a special touch. The uses of this could be very broad, you could make a rainbow waterfall for instance. Who doesn't want to go swimming through a rainbow of colors? The dyed water buckets and water source blocks should have the same physics as normal water just simply a different color. If two water buckets of different colors ran together then I think that the water should turn brown (This part needs some suggestions!). I have found myself wishing for this many times in my building. Feedback is much appreciated.
I have searched for this on the forums and the web and not seen any other suggestions. Link to other forums posts?
and I think if two of them ran together, Maybe they could blend colors as if the dyes were mixed? Or if it was normal water color maybe it could dilute the dyed water back to normal status, changing it back to average.

So there should be as many colors for water as there are for leather armor? Either way, I support. You should put the bucket in the crafting table with the dye(s), otherwise you could dye a whole sea with one dye.
This sounds interesting, but there is one problem. What would happen if 2 different waters of different colors ran together?
Maybe it would make it brown? (Because with something like watercolor it would do that)
I think this is great idea, maybe someone could make a mod of it.. Too bad I have no idea how to do that! (Nor do I want to try.. )

My difficulty is I do not know if this is a possible idea from a technical standpoint, as I do not do much of that. Anyone who sees this care to elaborate on if it is a conceivable thing to do?

I like the idea of turning brown when mixed! I'll add it!
