When anvils were added, they break after a certain amount of uses. But why not the crafting table?
The crafting table has a total of 50 uses. Like the anvil, the crafting table will crack, and eventually break when used enough. It will also make a noise when you craft an item, like the anvil makes the "tink tink tink," sound.
To prevent complaints, they should add an iron crafting table, which never breaks. It is crafted with four iron ingots in a 2x2 pattern. All existing crafting tables in worlds will turn into iron ones, so one does not have to replace wood ones with iron ones.
So if my crafting table breaks, I have to go find a log and just go make another one?
For some reason it sounds like people want repetitive, mundane, pointless tasks added into the game.
This is in the same tier as 'boring stuff the game wants you to do' as somebody saying you should need dirt in the crafting recipe of a flower pot.

Re-read the post and realize you can craft 'iron crafting table' .

Yeah, I don't know about this. The anvil breaks so that people don't take to much advantage out of it, but the crafting table is often the second thing that any player crafts when starting a new world, it's not just an advantage, it's a necessity.
In fact, I've always been sort of iffy about anvils breaking too.
Unlike an anvil, which is pounded with a hammer, a crafting table doesn't take any abuse when used.
You won't break a workbench in real life by using it to build things, so why should a crafting table break?
You use the tools drawn on the side of the table to craft with.

Thanks! And is there really a Yeah.avi? Just wondering.
I like it because it makes you need to make more crafting tables so it's not "Boom, made a crafting table, and I don't need to make one ever again"
I kind of hate it because it feels unessesary, as a crafting table is only made up of 4 planks, making the idea almost a pointless feature.

Curse PremiumI want crafting tables set up permanently, next to furnaces.
I stated in the OP, that there are iron crafting tables, which don't break at all.

Semi-Support.
