I love this idea! All really cool ideas, I especially like the Blitz arrow, however instead of striking with lightning the mob/player should momentarily have the armor of a charged creeper, and during that time it does the same damage as a bolt of lightning. Also not a fan of the long bow, there should just be the one bow. Anyways, support!
Whoa... people responded to this post after so long...
Thanks for your feedback, I'll do some changing around with the post. Personally, I think new enchantments would fit better with bows, but some of the arrow effects don't seem to fir as enchants.
I like the idea of the quiver, the fire Arrow, the razebomb Arrow and the long bow.
If I well understood, We could only have stacks of 16 Arrow in our inventory, but in the quiver, we can have stacks of 64 of Arrow, isn't it?
Actually, my idea is to make arrows only stackable to 16, similar to snowballs, ender pearls, and eggs. This way, keeping 5 stacks of 16 arrows in your inventory is a waste of space, but the quiver allows you to hold all stacks of 16 arrows in one single inventory (the quiver has 5 slots). I will try to get new pictures up soon from some mods to illustrate what I have in mind.
Also, infinity will continue to work with the quiver, I have an idea but need to flesh it out a bit more.
Ideas like this one are frequently sprung up on the suggestions forum. Ones that would make a decent mod—but ones that I could never imagine being included in vanilla Minecraft. Nearly all of these ideas are useless, overpowered, or could be implemented using enchantments (something I have concluded suggesters hate) rather than having a specific arrow for each effect. No support.
Do you have a suggestion on how to rebalance the long bow, or do you believe it should be removed? I never noticed that it was cheaper, but that does pose a problem.

Perhaps you could add an iron handle to it. I don't know if that makes it too expensive or not.

The custom bows are fine, but the arrows are kind of, off. Especially the explosive one. Oh, I covered a stick in gunpowder and now it explodes! The fire arrow is rather useless. The slime arrow seems useless as well, unless it was powered up more than the description indicates. The lightning one is okay, and well balanced by its crafting recipe though.
The blitz arrow seems a rather costly craft unless your shooting close range and won't risk wasting a shot.
Also, a range feature for the scope would seem handy, taking the guesswork out of long-range shots. I.E. each tick mark would represent an appropriate adjustment for a certain number of blocks in distance, whatever that may be.

If a Herobrine falls in the forest, but no one is around to hear it, does it really exist?
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 99% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 1% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
I'm rooting for either the top or middle one. I need to find a new place to upload pictures now because imageshack doesn't let me use direct links anymore and tinypic didn't work. Maybe mediafire will shed some light.
Can someone please tell me how to post images now? I keep pasting the direct link, but they don't show up properly. Apparently the new forums are not fond of pictures.
EDIT: I think I figured it out, I'll check with the OP.
I had an idea that other projectiles (fire charge, splash potion, etc.) could be put in quivers. when fired with a bow, these projectiles will fly further, and snowballs and eggs do 1/2 heart of damage. minecarts, boats, and spawn eggs can be shot too, and this will make the entity fly out like a projectile, and will inflict fall damage to mobs. and if the bow has flame, the mobs would be on fire. (although when this is added to the game, that's when pigs fly) I wanted to make a mod for this, but I thought it was a good idea to post here.

That's not a bad idea, actually. I'll be sure to edit the post and add a screenshot of new recipe as soon as possible.
