5. Undead Arrow. Crafted using a bone in place of the stick on an arrow. When fired at mobs, has a 3% chance of casting wither for 3 seconds. On undead mobs, this arrow does less damage, but has a 10% chance of casting regeneration for 6 seconds.
Note that regeneration does not affect undead mobs.

*Your gunpowder arrow is the same thing as TNT, it explodes (granted, it doesn't do any block damage, but it still explodes)
OK, all tomfoolery (Hey, auto-correct actually accepts tomfoolery as a word) aside, I don't want any more arrows in the game, things get complicated, and just having enchants is good enough, and in fact that is how I think arrows should get special effects, by allowing them to get enchanted.

TNT arrows would have bombed the ground and exploded blocks. Diamond arrows are not OP either, the ones that people normally think of do MASSIVE amounts of damage.
If you've seen this topic before, you will have noticed that I got rid of the gold arrow altogether and changed the diamond arrow to emerald arrow. This is the end of my suggestion and I have no more arrow suggestions, however pictures and a banner are in progress and this thread should not be left to die! I will continue on with this thread, adding new things to it to shape together the quiver and stuff. If anyone is a modder I would also appreciate if a mod for this was created
Hmm, your idea for a 6th slot confuses me. And no, the recipe will not be anymore expensive because there is no need for one.
Grapple arrows are changed to a hook extension and they aere subject to deletion. Diamond arrows are also subject to deletion. I am keeping the poison debuff in slime arrows because slime is sticky and toxic so it should poison the victim.

So slimes heaving their entire body mass at you has no poisin, but if you put it on an arrow it somehow has poisin? Slowness debuff is enough for slime arrows.

I would continue to argue, but this is getting pointless. So, I have nerfed the slime arrow to be poisonous by adding an ingredient.
Oh the irony. I just noticed another quiver idea that sprung up on the suggestions page, and it appears that it was started before mine. Wow. If there was some way to merge the two ideas...

I like the idea of new arrows in general. your idea of arrows is nice and to be honest i wish there was a mod that supported these ideas. i'm going give my opinion on all of your ideas
1. quiver - i like the idea very much. it's a nice add on, and a mod for it would be wonderful! 2a. the slime arrow seems ok. It has rarther a large amount of effects - when used with different items which i like 2b. the fire arrow is a classic idea - the fact that other blocks get set on fire too makes your victim rendered almost useles 2c.the undead arrow seems ok. It's not that i don't like - just don't care for it that much 2d.razebomb arrow is great for hitting people and mobs that are on land that you need. It kills the person/mob but not the land! 2e.blitz arrow is just a nice one to have 2f.the emerald arrow is quite useful against mobs... and who knows if you'll get lucky fighting a boss 3a. the long bow is nice. it's rather classic. 3b. the scope bow is a sniper's dream! it's nice to change betweent the long bow and the scope bow 3c. i love the idea of a grappling hook bow. you can snipe someone with an arrow and soar off! (lol) 3d.

Well after a long time, this post is back! I added a banner, hopefully it works (something bugged every other time I tried in the past), and I am thinking about some new additions in the bow section.
To me this is a good idea that has been going around for a while, but O think many of your concepts weren't to great. I never like the idea of weapons giving foes new or existing potion effects. They should be saved for potions and enchantments. Its like when I see a mod with a flame sword.... It just defeats the object of enchantments. And yes I know that the effects that you have mentioned don't exist as enchantments, but instead of a slime arrow I'd rather see an enchantment for bows and swords that slows enemies down. But I could settle for explosion arrows, they sounds cool. Or an... Exploding enchantment! Dang I could make a suggestion just out of this reply
But if all else fails and I can't convince you... Please... Just let emeralds live on as just currency...

How about crossbows?
They rapid fire 5 arrows and take longer to reload. Hold right-click and it will make 5 clicking noises and be charged. Then right-click and it will rapid fire. The crafting recipe is like this:

If I well understood, We could only have stacks of 16 Arrow in our inventory, but in the quiver, we can have stacks of 64 of Arrow, isn't it?
