As we all know, jungle biomes were added by mojang, in 1.2.5. Ever since then, the only new addition to it, was the jungle temple in 1.3. However, the jungle biome should be one of the priorities of mojang.
For example, take a look at the two pictures below.
Real jungle
Minecraft jungle
Needless to say, Minecraft did a good job at this, but it is not enough. The trees remain the same, and that takes away the "jungle feel" from the jungle. vines, however, do add a bit of that feel, and fills in a tiny bit of that crater.
For example, what tree do you think is better? Our current Minecraft tree?
Our "current" minecraft jungle trees
Or some new ideas, with creative effort?
Also, In a normal tempered forest, in 1 square km, we find around 5 to 10 (10 is very rich) species of trees.
In a jungle, this number jumps to 12 to 20, 25 spieces per square km.Big round canopea trees don't really occur (like the suggested pic) in jungle, but instead there's several giant trees, like a fig tree, or the special strangler fig tree. A tree that wraps around another tree, more and more, to the point where he kills the other tree, but made a "net trunk" that stands up. Here's some pics:That's when the tree wraps itself around the trunk of another tree:
And when the inside tree dies and rot, the strangler fig becomes hollow, and we (really) can climb inside it:
Q: Wouldn't adding giant trees (in pic #2 of "current trees vs new trees" {in the new tree section}) add many bugs and glitches to the game?
A: No, because you could make the smaller trees spawn 20-30 blocks away from the giant trees, like shown in the photo. This would give the tree room away from the other trees, preventing most bugs/glitches occurring.
Q: Wouldn't it be much easier to make this its own biome?
A: Yes, it would, but why not kill two birds with one stone? We can add the trees, in their monumental glory, and fix the jungles. This way, we can save a "slot" for another biome, and have something much cooler instead.
Anyone else getting a Bad Gateway error on the last images? I can't possibly comment atm because I can't see what you are trying to suggest.

Oh I can see the images now. Anyways, I kind of like the idea, except as Randomness3333 said the gigantic tree wouldn't fit into MC very well. And I don't just mean aesthetically. It would be a pain just to get them to generate right at all, especially around other trees.
I like the first picture with the tall trees and open area underneath but the diagonal branches look completely stupid. It looks like some lazy person made log stairs across the Jungle. I would like straight branches though.

I love this suggestion. Maybe there should only be 1-3 trees per biome, and the trees should definitely be different each time. However, I do think that Mojang should work on the other biomes before the jungle, since they need more help than the jungle does. Still an epic idea though. I support.
Would be nice as a new biome: ancient forest
I also think the big tree fits well into minecraft, as long as it's programmed to not get particularly crowded by other trees. It looks beautiful there in that forest clearing in the picture, standing on top of that hill.

The other trees could simply generate, maybe 20-30 blocks around the big tree, I don't see what is so difficult about that.

Yah, same here. I recommend he convert to imgur as it's more stable.

[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.
[quote=Catelite]Just because you don't understand how something works, doesn't make it broken or pointless. >_<

Plus, the jungle still needs fixing.
