Sleep Deprivation would be a new character effect with some possibly dangerous effects.
Some effects include:
*If you do not sleep for longer than 1 minecraft week then you could get the sleep deprivation effect.
*In your inventory screen it would show up as a dizzy eyeball.
*Once you get the effect, you have 3 minecraft days to get to a bed or you pass out.
*Each time you pass out you get weaker and slower the next time you spawn until you sleep in a real bed.
What happens when you pass out?
Once you pass out, you simply lay on the ground and the sleep animation takes effect. Bad thing is that you cannot wake up until morning. Time goes about 25 times faster when you are asleep. Mobs CAN kill you when you are asleep, you cannot fight back.
This effect can only be active if you are in hard/hardcore mode.

That's a cool suggestion, but only 3 Minecraft days seems a bit low. Especially when you start in a new world, you don't always find sheeps in less than 3 Minecraft days. Maybe 7 Minecraft days, maybe even more should be okay.
Oh and the player's sight should be a bit blurry when you have the Sleep Deprivation.
I don't like it. Why should I be punished because I use a bed once for a spawn point then stay out all night fighting mobs?

How about instead of a flat out KO, as more days pass you move slower and slower, and after 5 days you gain the ability to sleep on dirt, or on beds during the day. however, this removes only one day of deprivation. If you build up 7 days of sleep deprivation you begin to take damage, slowly at first, but soon getting faster than full food can heal you.

Great addition!

Its interesting, and I like the idea, but I dont think its happening, no one wants to go to bed, and minecraft doesnt really need sleep deprivation. Just because its interesting, and and original post, I give half support.
