the Jungles in minecraft are pretty cool but don't offer much accept some new wood, coco beens and sometimes a temple in them.
the idea i'm presenting is the woodler. i think minecraft should have a sneaky mob like this, as jeb never really gave us one yet. this mob can disgize itself as a jungle block and will attack the player only when he looks away and is cutting wood.
sometimes if lava happens to be nearby it will jump in the lava and gane fire related powers because.... you know... wood is flammable. when in fire mode the health gets doubled!
when the woodler attacks you he has a 10% chance of stealing an item you own. a countdown will appear above the woodler's head and when it reaches 0 the item can't be regained. also.... it will run from water as wood can really ''swell'' in water but it will counter act the fire power
well yes i think a mob like this is a bit over due and would be very cool to see in game so please work on it mojang!!! please support

Woodlers should take more damage from fire instead of giving it powers. Water should make it swell up and be slower and easier to hit. But like NitrogenSnow said, jungles have plenty of content already.

There are too many rules for this one mob. The skele shoots arrows, the creeper blows up, the zombie attacks, the spiders climb, this one mob has so many different rules, its too complicated. Jungle biomes have ocelots, and I like cats. No support.

I mean sure, jungles have unique wooden logs, unique wooden planks, cocoa *beans, extremely tall trees, very good aesthetics that helps it differ from other biomes, pretty awesome temples, climbable vines and Ocelots, but all that stuff just isn't good enough, because adding one new mob to jungles will somehow fix everything.

A small dose of spell check could have treated that. Anyway, having this mob come at you when looking away is something everyone would enjoy. I would love to quickly keep looking behind me every time I collect one wooden log. It would never get old.

We're talking in blue now? Okay. All wooden blocks get burned away pretty easily, but it's good to know that this mob(which happens to be made of wood) can somehow force the lava to act the opposite way it's supposed to and get a magic no-reason health boost. I'm sure players will enjoy the sudden stupid logic invert.

Aaaaand now we're back to good ol' black text. Why not? This idea keeps getting better, because this mob attacks you when you're not looking ANDcan steal stuff from you? Why didn't Jeb think of that? I agree, this game really needs a mob where players get their items yanked from them with no justification. I'm sure players will just happily laugh off getting their diamonds stolen and say, "Oh, that silly woodler."

if minecraft is gonna have crafty mobs like this only in a certain biome, the other biomes need some too.
but i dont really like the idea. it doesnt seem like minecraft all. maybe a mod would be good.
What the guys above me said. Jungles are the most interesting biome and already have a unique mob.

There's like 20 mobs in the game. It's not a unique challenge for something to steal from you, people on SMP already do that. The fire on wood thing makes no sense if it's a block of wood, it'll just burn up like a snow golem in a desert.

Well, this wasn't really a Necro. Necro-bumps are only when you bump a thread that is 6 months old or more, while anything from 3 to 5 months is a Super Bump.
