I'm building a complete medieval gameworld with quests. And of course, I'm building it in creative-peacefull mode to be able to finish it more faster. But...
There's a little technical problem. Some quest will need to change the difficulty and the game mode. Like switching to adventure-easy or adventure-normal to have monsters. And then reswitch to creative when we get out of the dungeon. BUT hehehehehe!!!.......
There WILL be several players playing at the same time. If some players are in the village in night when someone is in the adventure-normal dungeon, the mode will be changed to adventure-normal everywhere and creepers will spawn and risk damage to my village. When you build a 2000 houses village, each house uniquely divided and with furniture, you want it to stay builded, and you dont want to put torches everywhere just to be able to not have monsters, and scrap the scenery.
So a thing to set an area with a different game mode could be very interresting. Like a rectangular prism. You put 8 blocks to set the edges of the area and when you'll enter that area, the game mode will change to the desired mode, when peoples in the creative-peacefull village will stay in creative-peacefull, and no risk of damage.
Or just being able to change the difficulty will be excellent too.
