Okay, since the Patch, we have 3D floating items... YAY!!!
This has affected how the Item Frames display their... items... :/ (See Picture)
The axe is now 3D and renders at a depth of 1 Pixel (just for the sake of measurement). Now if you notice the Block of Cobblestone in the Item Frame next to it, it renders 50% of the block's depth.
Suggestion 1a - Change the Render depth of the Block Entities in item frames to render 1 pixel depth. (Like the items). This would look cleaner in Storage Rooms, Warehouses, Salt Vaults, etc. (You get the point). Just a Aesthetic thing, I know I post a lot of these, but I like my towns to look nice
Suggestion 1b - If changing is an issue for people, having the option is the next big thing. As one knows, hitting 'Use Item' on the frame that currently holds an item rotates it. The idea is after the item rotates 360, it switches to a flat render (1 pixel), rotates 360, and switches back to default.
Suggestion 2 - The ability to place Item Frames on the ground (and I suppose the underside of a block too since we're getting crazy! ) The biggest reason I'm suggesting this is new way to label storage chests since the new Chests are coming out. If word hasn't got around you can put chests flush against each other, there's no room for labels anymore. (Currently, the forced gap allowed an Item Frame to one side to label the chests contents.) Other uses may entail Floor Mats, and... um... stuff.
Suggestion 3 - Glowstones that Glow? Light emitting from the Item Frame with a Glow Stone would make sense. Although, Level 15 Light output does seem unrealistic in this sense. Maybe Scaled down to 7?

Questions, Comments, or Complaints?
Also; why not make it so Item Frames can be placed on ceilings as well?
