If you put water/lava/milk in the hopper and have a chest full of buckets and your getting tired of puting them in chests? well fill the hopper with it *right click with the bucket of whatever* then it fills the buckets in the chest if you got a better idea then tell..

At first I didn't understand what you were saying but that would be quite useful. If hoppers could fill buckets then you only need a chest full of empty buckets and just the one bucket to transfer water to the hopper. Rather then filling your inventory and switching them out all the time.

Don't play vanilla? You don't know **** about minecraft.
the problem with this is you need a source block to fill a bucket so for water it could work by creating an infinite spring over a hopper but for lava it would not and I'm sure they wouldn't make it fill buckets using flowing lava because then it would be an infinite source of lava.

I don't think some of you are understanding the idea fully. Here's hoping that I do.
1st option: I think what he is saying is, you have a chest full of empty buckets, and a full bucket in your hand. You right click on the hopper with the full bucket in your hand, and it fills the buckets inside the chest, one by one.
The thing I don't get is, why would you not just swap out empty buckets with full ones in your chest? It isn't that hard.. It doesn't take THAT much time..
2nd option: The other option he could be saying is that one full bucket in your hand fills up every empty bucket in the chest. Which doesn't make very much sense, as that is very over powered and would multiply the actual resources you've gathered. So let's hope it's not this one.
Overall, I think the OP needs to have a lot more information and describe his idea a lot better.
No Support.

well none of them are Quite correct..
What i mean is if you have the hopper connected to a chest full of buckets you right-click with the full bucket then atleast 1-3 buckets get full of what you put in the hopper
Also lava and milk should be used in a couldron

No way should it fill more than one bucket at a time. Lava should not be infinite. As for the idea, I really don't see a need for it. Buckets stack up to 16 and if you have more than one empty Bucket in a stack, right clicking a source will fill a Bucket and move it to the first open inventory slot if it can. Therefore it would actually be faster to just grab the empty buckets and fill a whole stack at a time.
