Ok we all been playing FTB im sure, and since i been playing it i can honestly say its way unbalanced and too much automating everything, and i agree what Dinnerbone tweeted about not adding stuff that plays the game for you.
But obviously Dinnerbone and others DO pay attention to mods (hence the hopper from buildcraft and light sensor from RP2, and the enderchest) and Grumm shows his face quite a bit on Forgecraft servers with Direwolf20.
so basically WTF? not tring to be mean but is it just me or should the entire Logic Gate part of Redpower be in vanilla minecraft? or hey better yet why not justhire Eloraam for work on Minecraft..... seriously. i must say you could basically import Redpower into vanilla (minus the tubes, but id like them) and it would still be minecraft but way less stupid giant contraptions just to make a simple timer etc... and i know EVERYONE wants microblocks so yeah just hire her FFS...
other than that yeah imo lots of the mods are way to far out and just dont feel like minecraft, but heres a few more id like to see ideas from.
Soulshards Mod - basically again you should just make this mod into vanilla, we all want spawners again so... yeah and its better than just silk touching them like before. again were gona make traps either way, so just let us have them whats the harm?
Iron Chests Mod - ok we all use it and love it...... C'mon Mojang.
i had a few more but cant remember them atm so ill post again when i do or edit this post.

Not everyone wants miecrblocks. It would be to glitchy. Logic Gates blocks from Redpower are pointless since we can make logic gates. Eloraam probably has her own life and is too busy to work with Mojang.

Iron Chests Mod - ok we all use it and love it...... C'mon Mojang. We already have 3 chest, we don't need more.

This is a inaccurate post and technically a wishlist of 4 things.
Allocator probably was the main source, but they might have stolen some of the ideas from BC's hopper. Not a lot, but some. Maybe not, but... Well... Maybe.
No support. There is a reason things are mods and there is gonna be Mod API. Also, silk touching spawners would just be horrible if in vanilla and crafting them would be worst. As for iron chest mod being in vanilla... no too because it doesn't really sound all that important and once again it's a mod for a reason.
I only support spawners in creative mode.PS: hate FTB/tekkit
Soul shard. Definitely not. Iron chest... Meh, why not?

Humanity is the creation of Logic and Emotion, Calculation and Imagination, Cold Analysis and Blind Faith. This is why I believe it is a strange Human that would prize one while shunning the other. For a calculator can do math just as well as you, but a calculator can not use math to make the world a better place.
I started out playing a few months ago when my nephews wanted to play on their own server with their friends and family, and as I am a computer consultant, they asked me how to do it. So I setup what I guess you call a vanilla server. Then a new version of the game came out with Emeralds, so I created a new world so it would have emerald deposits, but some players wanted the old world too. I also wanted to give them the option of playing creative or survival, and the option of having mobs or not. After much research I found that I could play multiworld, but it seemed to be that I had to run something called a Bukkit server with a MultiVerse plugin. Okay, so now I got that done, but it seems that Bukkit can only change the server side, not the client side, so the new thing is a FTB server.
After reading this thread I see the problem is that some people like some addons and other people don't. So, would it make sense that the vanilla Minecraft server support adding plugins on the server as easily as Bukkit? In addition, could the Minecraft client also support easily adding mods? And finally, can the the client can check what mods are required by the server, and recommend where the user can download them from?

Curse PremiumActually red alloy wire and its insulated counterparts along with the RP gate system would alone make a good redstone update.

Someone's never heard of the allocator.
