As a general rule, if you're making your doors out of obsidian, you can make the rest of your house out of obsidian. So really, it would be faster (read: incredibly slow) to break the door than make a hole beside it.
But seriously, other than nigh-indestructibility and nigh-infinite blast resistance, what would the details of it be? Would it be activated by redstone like iron doors, clicking like wooden doors, or something else entirely?
