1. Spinning Blades. Use: Spins 2 swords rapidly when powered by a redstone signal. High knock back and damage depending on how much speed it's spinning at. It takes time to speed up. Crafting recipe:
2. Flamethrower. Use: Emits fire in a 1 block range when powered by redstone. Best used with pressure plates. Crafting recipe:
3. Spear Tube. Use: Ejects a spear 2 blocks from the block. Spear retracts when cut off from a redstone signal. Crafting recipe:

I like the idea of the spear that extends, it might be fun for jungle temples and traps. The flamethrower can be done with dispensers and fire charges. The spinning blade just doesn't fit Minecraft.
I like the ideas a little but I however do not agree with the crafting, I think the flamethrower should use a dispenser and so should spears. Like a dispenser on the bottom, stick in the middle, and arrow on top in a crafting grid.
Like I said I like the ideas, just not how to make them.

Hey, if you want to make sure I saw what you said, quote me on it.
Another trap: the Stone Fall Trap. (Inspired by Dwarf Fortress.)
Right click on it to load the trap with either gravel or cobblestone. When powered by redstone, it releases a bunch of rocks that damage the player. Cobblestone deals more damage than gravel, but gravel drops rocks for longer. If rocks fall on another (empty) stone fall trap, it loads the trap. A hopper can load the trap.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?

Retired StaffWhy does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
well if you think about it, why would flame charges even be used in dispensers anymore? you could just craft one flamethrower and there you go.
