I don't know about you guys, but i think MC needs more Multi-Block structures. So far theres the double-chest and the beacon. a couple of Ides for these are posted below.
Nether Brick Furnace-
Place 4 furnaces in a layer on the ground in a 2x2 fashion.
Place 4 nether bricks on top of the furnaces via shift-right clicking
Voila.
You now have a Nether Brick Furnace. This furnace cooks at the same speed as a regular furnace, but gets 1 smelt more out of every fuel item, and can also be fueled by netherrack for 3 smelts, substituting coal. Also has a 25% chance to duplicate output from ores by 2 or 10% by 3,making it so 1 or can turn into 2 or 3 bars. Some down sides are that it takes more room, it requires going to the nether, it smelts 25% slower, and you may no longer use wooden products as fuel,so you can only fuel it with netherrack, coal, charcoal, and lava buckets, but with the lava buckets it doesn't melt the bucket.
Brick Furnace-
Same pattern as nether brick furnace, accept instead of nether bricks it uses regular bricks.
This furnace contains the ability to smelt 1.5 times as fast, and get 1 more smelt out of wooden products, including charcoal.
Some downsides include taking up more room, Only gets 6 smelts for regular coal and 75 smelts for a lava bucket, and consuming the bucket, and due to the fact it smelts/ cooks faster,it has a 25% chance to turn ores into 1 of that ore's shards, and you need 2 shards to make an ingot (via crafting table)
Please Reply if you like the more multiblock idea or either of the furnace suggestions.
Please make that font smaller please! As for the idea, I like the idea of multiblock structures, but not for furnaces. Maybe something like a multi-block vehicle could work.

I think you need to kind of expand on this. The nether brick furnace is kind of OP seeing how you can fuel it with netherrack which is extremely easy to get. I do like the idea of the regular brick furnace. Reminds me a bit of tekkit

That is the point. if the furnace can be fueled with netherrack,it eliminated the need to constantly mine. Plus, you cannot fuel it with wooden products disincluding charcoal,so you can no longer use fences, planks, logs,ETC
I disagree with the possibility to duplicate things, that one's just... no. It's easy enough to get resources as is, it should be harder, not easy. I'd rather it smelt faster but have a chance of "improperly smelting" and causing the item to be destroyed. I do like the idea of using netherrack as fuel, though have it take more to smelt one item than wood planks do, simply because of how easy it is to obtain.

Check out my Lets Play! It would be much appreciated! :3
The Nether Brick Furnace is OP at 3 Smelts per Netherrack. Considering the fact that .3 seconds to mine with a Wood Pickaxe, in less than a second you can smelt 9 items. That may not seem OP but with a Diamond pickaxe you can mine it in .05 seconds, meaning in 1 second you can mine 20 Netherrack, enough to smelt 60 items. In fact, using a Diamond pick and factoring in the 25% slower smelting, in the time it takes to smelt one item (10 seconds plus 2.5 seconds so 12.5 seconds) you can get 250 more Netherrack. That's ridiculously overpowered. Combined with the fact that you have a very good chance of getting essentially free extra ingots, it is just crazy.
As for the other one, it isn't half bad, but I can't see myself using it. Plus the whole "shard" thing would just be an annoyance, so even if I was tempted to do this, that would make me not want to. I could just make four furnaces in the same amount of space and smelt a lot faster anyways.
