So, do you like the music selection in Minecraft?
Yes, it was created by C418 , Daniel Rosenfeld but the music eventually gets either dull, or boring at times.
And playing ITunes and minecraft at the same time, managing that, and you can't listen in in-game sounds.
Yes, you can somehow convert music to an certain file that is capable with minecraft. yet lots of players wouldn't take the time to-do so.
Or even know how.
So, a simple solution.
Allow certain song files, maybe .MP3 or whatever, yet there should be a maximum of songs and duration of the song. {maybe 2:50? or less or more}
Therefore, you can listen to music when mining or building.
Though, the music starts at certain points.
Ex. when your mining, in ravines, or every 3 minutes, etc.
Or, Mojang can set a little setting in the menu & Main menu to play, skip or stop the music and select the music you want to listen.
Now, this would not replace the current music in the game, like '13' and 'mall'.
So, you can still listen the original music, and the 'sound effects' will also be not removed.
So this way, players who do not have ITunes can still use there music on there computer
Ex. music on an USB Can be used unless it is the excepted file type. But, the music has to be on the computer at all times so the file is not lost.
Ex2. Music on your computer can also be used unless again, if it is the excepted file type. (.MP3?)
Also, I was also recently thinking that if there were 5 CD's that once you create and upload the music, it automatically is created, it will be simpler than you think.
Anyways, those CD'S can be get when you normally a skeleton kills an creeper.
Ex. I just uploaded 2 soundtracks. Those 2 soundtracks are created and 2 new discs were created and in the game. Then, i can either wait my chances and let a skeleton kill an creeper, or, in the menu. simply select and play the music i want.
This way, you can listen to the music and listen to the in-game sounds.
Ex. mining sounds, breaking blocks sounds, and mob sounds.
I like this so much more than the "Make a music disc with an MP3 and totally share it illegally via SMP" threads.
I really don't see any use for it at all, because iTunes/VLC Media Player/(god forbid) Windows Media Player are all generally not too resource intensive, but it makes more sense than the other threads and isn't nearly as illegal. Hell, Rockstar has been doing this on PC since GTA III.
So, support because why not?
(on an unrelated note, Logitech G510 keyboards have built in controls for changing music in multiple, if not any, program without having to switch widnows. It doesn't have to do with this, I just friggen love this keyboard <3)
