Issue: 1. Jungle Trees are currently the only tree type that that allow for large trees.
By this I mean that when 4 Jungle saplings are placed in a 2x2 configuration and one of those saplings are clicked with bone-meal, the four sapling together grow into a large Jungle tree.
When this is attempted with the other tree types only the sapling clicked with bone-meal grows, leaving the remaining trees as saplings.
2. Further research has found that only Oak trees can form a fake 'large' tree naturally or with bone-meal.
When saplings other than Jungle saplings are placed in the 2x2 configuration it is found that when attempting to click the remaining 3 saplings with bone-meal, only configurations of Oak tree sapling will allow for the remaining to grow.
This was found to occur also naturally if the 3 remaining Oak saplings are left alone.
My Suggestion:
My Suggestion would be to allow the remaining tree types to be able to grow into large trees in the same fashion that Jungle tree currently do.
My suggestion does not incorporate the introduction of new tree types or saplings to be introduced but to instead to extend an already existing concept in Jungle trees to the other tree types.
My main issue with mods like that one are the lack of realism concerning such mods. 1.The trees themselves I find it a bit silly with the different materials that trees could be made from as I don't ever see them being implemented/ the don't really belong in vanilla Minecraft.
The Trees actually made of wood don't look that bad though, but that leads me to my second point.
2. Trees of such a size also are a bit too unrealistic for vanilla Minecraft.
In terms of a tree size that would be suitable in terms of a large tree the height and girth (4 block base) of the Jungle trees seems within an appropriate height range for Minecraft, since trees of that height currently do exist.
3. The manner in which such trees are grown also seems unrealistic in the mod. For the 2x2 configuration for growing large trees is quite simple, it works, and it is more or less realistic, at least more realistic that the mod.
B.
In terms of what already exist in Minecraft, some users may feel that there already are large Oak and Spruce trees.
Though I would counter that those trees are of a medium height when compared to Jungle trees, also in terms of largeness the trucks of those medium trees are only one block in girth, where I am suggesting that large trees has a 4 block base girth. Another point is that the currently existing Medium trees for spruce have very little foliage on the.
C.
Currently in Mincraft is is not possible especially with Birch trees to achieve the effect of growing a large tree, the only current solution would be to place individual wood blocks together to achieve the desired effect. My Solution mitigates this issue.
The problem is that prof. Oak, Birch and Spruce trees don't grow that big in real life as far as I am aware of. It's a good idea and all, but this time I don't think this would make sense. There are trees in the jungle that grow that big, which is why Jungle trees grow that big. I wouldn't whine if Mojang would add this but, it wouldn't make sense.
The main issue Is girth. of the trees I was concerned about, since you do get thick trees like that in real life as the pictures help illustrate.
Also I thought this suggestion could automatically help fill the want that some users have for new large tree types such as redwoods, by adding large trees instead of whole new trees/ saplings and biomes.
I though it was a relatively easy & realistic solution to multiple wants people have had.

Well I see why wanted this now. I actually have a snapshot of a double oak tree that accidentaly grew next to my village. However I can now see a potential use now so I support.
I don't see why it shouldn't be implemented. Not like wood is hard to get anyways. Support.

Reasoning, Explanation & Defense:
A.
I am fully aware of mods that allow for gigantic trees, such as this one:
