I came up with idea for nether equivalents of Wolves and Ocelots.
Hellcat: The nether equivalent to Ocelot. Can be tamed with Raw Fish.
Hellhound: The nether equivalent to Wolf. Can be tamed with Bones.
They have the same health as normal counterparts, but slightly more powerful.
Hellcat has 25% bigger creeper repulsion range.
Hellhound does 1/2 heart more damage than normal Wolf.
Hellhound and Hellcat are both neutral mobs and can spawn in Peaceful.
However, Hellhounds will also attack normal Wolves, resulting in clash between Hellhound and Wolf. However, they won't attack tamed wolves.
Hellcat will also attack and clash with Ocelots. Won't attack tamed cats. When hellcat and ocelot fight, there is 50/50 chance. 50% chance Hellcat gets killed, 50% chance Ocelot get killed.
They also can breed. Hellhound accepts the same type of food that normal wolves accept. Hellcat accepts fish. Hellhound puppy and hellcat kitten take 5 minutes to grow up.
There's also hybrids if you crossbreed Wolf and Hellhound, resulting in Hellwolf. 4th type of cat breed is available if you crossbreed Hellcat and Cat. They have to be tamed.
No to hellcats even though i love cats.
For the Hellhound, I prefer them being called Wither Wolves, and if anything they should be aggressive in my opinion. Hell (the Nether) should be a violent place after all.
How would the "Hellcat has 25% bigger creeper repulsion range." work if there are no Creepers present within the Nether?
For the Hellhound, I prefer them being called Wither Wolves, and if anyth-
Eh, no. That's actually kinda worse than "Hellhound", because the prefix of "Wither" is getting old.
I think the ideas alone are not horrible but mediocre, and I wouldn't like to see this exist in the game. Adding two Nether counterparts to overworld mobs isn't very creative or original at all. I think it should have stopped at Slimes and Magma Cubes, but it (hopefully) stopped at Skeletons and Wither Skeletons.
Because the Nether is supposed to be a more dangerous and aggressive place than the overworld (or should be), putting tameable mobs in the Nether/hell is a very bad idea. So sorry... No support.

The Unofficial Suggestion Guide - Everything you need to know to not make goofy mistakes in a suggestion! Honestly though, you should really go there.
Hellcats seem useless, but hellhounds have potential. Wither bones could be used to tame these hellhounds. Wither bonemeal could be used on nether wart... Ooo... Hellhounds could bring a lot of potential...
If I could offer a suggestion. The Minecraft community seems to respond better to things that are fully new rather than slight edits of something, so I'd suggest a four-legged neutral/hostile in the Nether? But not exactly a dog? Or at least, not fully a dog.

The only thing a hellcat could do is take out enemy cats and ocelots, to send in a specialized team of well trained Creepers. Hellhounds, on the other hand could do much more.

Was reviving this thread really neccessary? It died over a year ago (A year and rouhgly 9 months ago), and the person who revived it didn't actually contribute anything useful to the discussion.

It sounds better, and the Nether biome is "Hell" in F3.
