I think certain things should be added to deserts.
1. The Palm Tree.
Desert Biomes have no trees, and I feel Palm Trees would fit in very nicely. They would generate sparingly, so the Biome would still feel like a desert. Palm trees could also grow coconuts. Coconuts could be a second way to get milk. Also, an empty coconut could be used as a helmet or shield, or maybe a bowl.
2. The Oasis.
An Oasis could be an uncommon spot in a desert where one would find a pool of water, a tree, and perhaps a chest with some supplies.
3. Desert-Specific Mobs.
I'm envisioning perhaps tortoises, lizards, snakes, or even scorpions. Tortoises could drop a shell when killed, which could have similar uses to the earlier mentioned Empty Coconut. Lizards, snakes, and scorpions could attack the player and infect them with poison.
Mudkip, your posts have been very vague, this one included. Please add detail or it could get locked.
Pencilshavings, you have told me in all of your replies that I am too vague. Please inform what is vague about my ideas, and how I can fix this. Thank you.

The meaning of vague is simple. Most of the ideas you suggested have hardly and detail if at all. An example, give the how often the mobs would spawn, what they would do, what they would drop, etc.

Hey, if you want to make sure I saw what you said, quote me on it.
The thing about the mobs in minecraft is each of them adds a different aspect to the game. Creepers blow up, skeletons attack ranged, zombies attack closely, spiders can climb, endermen teleport, and etc. So when a mob is suggested I usually think, is it just one of these with a different size? Or what new aspect would it add into the game other than being redundant. As for the palm trees, I kind of like that the desert has no trees if it did it would basically be like every other biome of course other than the aesthetic differences.
I don't really care one way or the other about mobs--I play on peaceful anyway. I do like idea of the palm trees and oasis, though. I don't think those are vague at all. You have my support!
