While sitting through my theater tech. class last week I had an idea. We're going through our electrical unit in the class right now. It hit me that in minecraft, it would be awesome to have three or four different "types" of redstone, i.e red, blue, black, white. The use would be for being able to put wires next to each other without them interacting, saving space. Possibly make it so that the types of redstone are simply different states of the block, much like repeaters act? I know that'd be a TON of different states so maybe just two wire types would be a better alternative. Alternate uses could be using it to color code redstone contraptions, being able to more easily tell inputs and outputs,
Sorry about the posting an old thing ha. Couldn't find anything on the topic.
My idea is just for making this smaller. sometimes it gets to big or complicated to be able to do things when you're working in a confined space.

Well, you could try your best to make a vertical/horizontal version of the wiring of the contraption.
By the way:
1. Do you try using pistons?
2. Did you try using the new repeater lock system? (They can make a compact T-Flipflop)
Suggested numerous times, no support. To get two lines to travel side by side just use repeaters. Also, KingBeast, that would be horrible and would destroy every single existing redstone contraption. Don't even suggest something as stupid as that.
this has been suggested many times, now color coding the wires would be great for those who makes very large and complicated equipment like Elevators,3x3 Plus size Piston doors, automated farms and computers ect.
