Thought they were scary before? I have an idea to make them seem a little more creepy.
When you look at an enderman and look away, they teleport closer... but what if instead of teleporting, if you stare long enough, you see them begin to walk VERY slowly towards you, and progressively pick up speed the closer they get with no set limit to how fast they can run?
I put forth the idea that if you and the Enderman are having a stare-off and too much time passes by without movement, they should head for you in this manner.
I think it would add an extra creepy effect if you see one from a great distance, giving them the ability to rush you, as if it were something from a horror movie.
The momentum of their movements would reset after teleporting and landing a successful hit on a player or entity, so as to not make them too godly or somehow wind up glitching to instantly land 30 blows on you in a second.
I like this. It really makes the game a bit harder. Now if I accidentally stare at an Enderman, I can't simply wait for day or have my buddy pour water around it's feet.
That sounds like a great idea! I hate when you just have a stare down with Enderman for like, 20 minutes without anything happening. But I do like the Ender Pearls they drop.
