I've been thinking about this for a while already, but this is just a suggestion. Slime balls are supposed to be able to be put down on blocks. Just think about it. Whatever you build, be it a bank or a safety vault, no matter how complicated your redstone security measures are, other players will be able to hack into it, even if you build it using bedrock. With just a few pistons and switches, griefers or simply mischievous players in multi-player mode can remove walls and step into what you think is a very safe place to store your diamonds.
So how about this: slime balls that can be put down on blocks. You can place another block on it and it will ''stick'' to the block that has the slime ball attached to it. You can break it of course, but pistons and sticky pistons won't be able to move it. This way, pistons or no pistons, players cannot break into a cube of bedrock ''stuck'' together by slime balls. It will not act as a block, like signs.
The graphics will be of like sticky pistons, with the slime smudge on the wooden board. I think this is another use of slime balls, other than magma cream and sticky pistons.
I'm no good at producing fancy pictures or banners, but I hope that there will be at least some response to this topic. Thanks! =)
Well, you have a point, I didn't really think of that. Lets say its survival mode and a player used obsidian and say another player wants to get in his safe and has no diamond pickaxe won't pistons actually help him with his crime? Then in this case maybe slime balls can be of help to the first player.
Why not have a Vault Block? It could only be opened by the player who placed it, and would be indestructible. Of course it would need to be expensive, say 5 iron blocks and two diamonds...

Iron block Diamond Iron block
Diamond Redstone Diamond
Iron block Diamond Iron block
But how do you open them?
How about having to put in a 4 number combo? The combo would be set when you place it (A GUI would be brought up like when you place a sign).
