Hi, at Minecon 2012, they announced a NEW ORE that is found in the Nether. This new ore is used to create new advanced redstone devices. I think the new ore should be called Lithium (Thanks guys for giving this idea to me!) and it looks like purple dust. The ore itself looks like purple ore marks in glowstone. (Like every ore so far is the ore marks in the stone.)
The question is, where is this ore found?
It is simply found in the core of those glowstone crystal spikes.
Even your fists can break it! It is as fast as mining dirt with your hand.
Anyways, have you heard of the Comperator? It's a redstone creation that mojangs adding in 1.5. I have no clue what it does but it is crafted with a redstone torch in the top row, middle spot, and the 2nd row, 1st spot and he 2nd row, 3rd spot. The Lithium ingot goes in the 2nd row, middle spot. Finally, smooth stone goes in the whole 3rd row.
Consult the wiki for info on the item.
I probably didn't spell Comperator right...
Mojang claimed that they would make nether ores for further exploration so there is a reason to go to the nether instead of getting netherack for your fireplace, collecting glowstone, and finding nether fortresses so you can make potions/get the wither.
and did i really post twice?
Lithium...
Ruby...
Thinking of a recent science homework...
Probably gonna make a poll, if Lithium gets chosen you get credit.Update. Posted that runestone was not a final name. Thanks everyone for the comments.
Will get to updating this soon.
Prepare for a whole new arcane fuel thingy.
I have no thoughts for 1.5 yet. I think they will "abandon" Minecraft for awhile and work on other games by 1.7. Not fully, but just do things like bug fixes and small additions to Minecraft.
