the point of spending a few week's of programming in these different way's for player's to trigger event's in their world, is so that player's have more way's to customize their game experience to their own play style. and I'd wager dollars to doughnuts that there are plenty of people who would think that it's worth it.
Just no. It doesn't work that way. Minecraft is a game that does have magic, but is not meant to have players casting all these spells. Minecraft is not The Ender Scrolls. People have suggested magic spells for almost the entire duration that Minecraft has existed, yet we still don't have this stuff. There are no plans for magic spells to touch the game, and your thread doesn't bring us closer to that.
"A few weeks of programming"? It could end up being longer than that. You don't know what programming for Minecraft entails. There's a reason why mods stay mods. It doesn't matter if there's "plenty of people who would think that it's worth it." There's people out there who want thirst bars and Herobrine, and those two things ain't happening.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
The more this goes on, the more I enjoy this idea. So, please continue *grab popcorn, kicks back*
And people wonder why their posts get deleted and receive a 10% warning level boost.
OP, you might wanna look into cleaning up your spelling, grammar and how apostrophes are actually meant to be used. I don't support the idea, by the way. Minecraft isn't meant to have all these "spells".

The occasional fun post never causes harm. Also, I understand the risks. Thanks for moderating
Do you care to elaborate why Minecraft isn't "meant" to have spells in your opinion, or is it just cause?

You don't have to resort to sarcasm. I wasn't mocking your post nor was I trying to backseat moderate. Nearly every post I've seen that said "this gonna be good" followed by a popcorn-related remark got deleted.

I think Zippy already stated the points. I don't think it's the worst idea, but I see no reason to put in all the effort to add that stuff. The game is fine the way it is now, and I'm sure there's good reasons we don't have magic spells after all this time the game existed.

I'm sorry hun if you thought that was sarcasm. I wasn't trying to come across that way. I think it's awesome when members moderate (I've done it a couple times here and there), so that was a compliment. Also, I am genuinely surprised there is a large amount of "this gonna be good"/popcorn posts. Had I known that, I wouldn't have posted that, so I apologize.

I was just asking if you had additional points. Also, as it seems like every spell suggested here has an already programmed mechanic to it that would just need a new icon, crafting recipe, and invocation code (not that much in total), so I wonder where this extra effort is appearing that seems so legendary. Also, the allocator has been requested for how long?, and yet it is just now possibly being worked in (based on old tweets/posts that 1.5 would contain it, src not available sorry). If the game is fine the way it is now, why would we ever need bugfixes, updates...anything? See my point?
