My idea requires 3rd party software ie. mcedit.
You can change block texture, like change sand into dirt or a mob spawned into stone this would act like a head
And another idea is to have the ability to edit items, ie. make dirt eatable.
And have different silverfish blocks ie. instead of silver fish it would be cave spiders
And edit blocks to act like air, so it will make better traps then snow or un updated sand
These are four ideas I thought would help custom map makers

You can change block texture, like change sand into dirt or a mob spawned into stone this would act like a head This can be done by just making a custom texture pack if making a map.
And another idea is to have the ability to edit items, ie. make dirt eatable. "edit items" as in modding? why not make a mod?
And have different silverfish blocks ie. instead of silver fish it would be cave spiders Not an awful idea. still, you should give some reasoning.
And edit blocks to act like air, so it will make better traps then snow or un updated sand what i don't even.

That's not how you use "i.e." >.< You can change block texture, like change sand into dirt or a mob spawned into stone this would act like a head
Ever heard of a texture pack? And another idea is to have the ability to edit items, ie. make dirt eatable.
You can use anvils to rename items, but adding the ability to eat dirt is plain stupid and will be a waste of Mojang's time. And have different silverfish blocks ie. instead of silver fish it would be cave spiders
Don't see a purpose to this. Why can't you use custom spawners? And edit blocks to act like air, so it will make better traps then snow or un updated sand
wat
Frist of all, change block texture is to change blocks texture it works like a texture pack but you can have a certain block to change not all of them.
The one with dirt eatable is an example you could make a dirt impossible to break so you can have boarder of a map be dirt instead of bedrock
The idea with custom silverfish block is that you can make a non spawned area but you could make them dig for the way though
The idea with blocks like air is to make secret passages by walking into a block

If you're making a custom texture pack for a map, you can, say, change the sponge texture to dirt and use that. The one with dirt eatable is an example you could make a dirt impossible to break so you can have boarder of a map be dirt instead of bedrock
Yes, because munching your way through a wall of edible dirt is totally not an option. The idea with custom silverfish block is that you can make a non spawned area but you could make them dig for the way though
No one wants to tunnel through a wall that spawns cave spiders - if you're planning to add that to your map, then you can just forget that right now. The idea with blocks like air is to make secret passages by walking into a block
Pain+tings=success.
Sorry buddy, but none of these ideas are actually practical and/or useful.
