This suggestion has been on my mind for a while and I think it may give the game of Minecraft something interesting and challenging. Minecraft is notoriously popular for it's ability to overcome the impossible and make any creation that is on your mind. This is one of the things I like about minecraft the best. But what if as an optional gamemode, physics were added? That means no more floating houses, trees do not remain standing when the bottom block is removed, and caves pose a much greater risk. This could make the game much more realistic for someone that wanted to try something new in the world of minecraft. Caves could collapse if the gap in between walls was more than a certain width or height, and supports would need to be made to prevent them from collapsing. I personally just think this would make the game slightly interesting when someone is looking for a challenge. I understand that a task like this would require a lot of additoinal written code, some which may be challenging. Also, i'm not suggesting that minecraft becomes ALL physics because most people like the game because of the lack of them. Just an additional gamemode to be added for the more "hardcore" minecraft gamers.
Nobody would play this mode, because it's just not for minecraft. If you really want this, then only use sand and gravel. Some people like floating houses! This, even as a game mode, would not fit with Minecraft's build-whatever-you-want under the threat of monsters atmosphere.

This signature has absolutely no point at all. And then it has a point to inform you that it has no point, but it has no point because it really doesn't have a point, but it has a point because it tells you it has no point... and ah, screw this.

sorry but I cant think of it as a bad idea . . . I would like to build floating stuff (even because it make everything easier to be built as you dont need to start from under and dont need to set pillars and girders if you dont want, also dont need to think about material resistance and position if you dont want to think about it) but would be nice and challenging, if I could think about it also nice to see what would happen to my builds if real life physics were applied to them.

It would be a very hard to code gamemode. However, it would be interesting to be able to build with actual physics and having to support your buildings so they don't fall down.
Well, the addition of a physics gamemode doesn't mean that the normal survival mode of Minecraft no longer exists, so the community won't have any reason to rage that the new gamemode 'ruined Minecraft! Fix your game, Jeb!' or something.
The only problem with the gamemode is that it would be painstakingly hard to code. Well-known mechanics of blocks would have to be changed, and some aspects of the world generation would have to be changed as well, because the game currently generates insane overhangs in Extreme Hill Biomes that defy physics, and would collapse if the physics was applied. Even the Nether would turn into a disaster, considering that the whole Nether is an empty space under a hardly supported bedrock ceiling. And how about the End? The End Island is a floating biome. It's not supported at all, and what would happen to it in the physics gamemode? Would it collapse into the void?
While these problems with the world generation can be avoided, coding it for the sake of a gamemode that the community might not approve of seems like a bad idea. The coding would require a titanic scale of effort, and is bound to be buggy. It would be an unprecedented coding challenge for the developers of Minecraft, so this idea really isn't all that feasible as it seems.
