So I'm sitting here organizing my chests by item category and I thought to myself: "why don't they just let me shift-click on a space in the chest while dragging an item over it, and that would result in a designated spot for items of that type?"
The idea is that if I want the upper right hand corner of my chest to be exclusively dirt, all I have to do is set those empty spaces as "dirt spaces". After that, any time I shift-click a dirt block directly into the chest, it goes right to the nearest available designated space.
If you could provide more information as to how this would work, I'd be happy to provide criticism/support. However, I'm clueless as to how you would make it work. There's got to be more to it then just shiftclicking on certain spaces to make them designated spots. What happens when it overflows? Wouldn't it just be more annoying to have to shiftclick each one, then load the dirt in? I'm fine with normal chests now.
