Today I was recreating a dungeon, because I wanted to make a tutorial on how to make an XP farm. All of a sudden I had a great idea. I thought to myself, "What if there were dungeons on the surface?" So I built what I thought they could look like.
This would make it way much easier to find dungeons. No need to go all the way underground, or going caving to find one. I would think they would only be found in jungle biomes because of the mossy texture goes with it, ya know? Or maybe they could be found on the side of mountains in extreme hills. This would make making XP farms way much easier!
Here's what I built:
I don't think it's that great of an idea, but I haven't seen any post about this kind of thing before. Yay or nay?
Fairly sure the whole reason they are only found underground and below sea level is so it is harder to find them. As far as surface dungeon type things we have Jungle Temples and Pyramids already.

I mean, these wouldn't be commonly found. They would be somewhat rare.
I would stick either with underground or aboveground ones. Both is to much really.

"Really though, it shows the mindset of a Dwarf Fortress player that when running for you life from a 30-foot tall animate bronze colossus, your first reaction to a horde of fluffy bunnies is to grab some and throw them at it." - DF player
I think dungeons should just remain forever deep in caves (apart from seeds giving that rare unintentional high-ground dungeon out of pure luck), as it puts that much more reason into mining underground.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
No matter how much I love dungeons, I cant support this. If you were maybe post a new kind of surface dungeon, I'd support, but recycling something in game isnt the best method of things.

They 'do' spawn above ground, in extreme hills biomes, albiet rarely.
It was an impressive find
