1:Fire proof-line:makes the player able to fish in lava and pull up cooked fish.
2:Fisherman's luck:chance to pull up 2 fish in one cast.
3:Smelly bait:better chance to catch fish.
4:Sharpened hook:At level 1 the fishin pole will do damage. It does a little more damage to mobs each level.
5:Longer line:Ability to cast further
6:Diamond in the rough:With this expensive enchantment you have a chance to pull up items out of the water like string, bones, swords,Etc.Here's the good part at level five(which would cost like 30 lvls)You'd be able to pull up diamonds!(about a 15% chance.)

I made this post in Feb and I decided to post it again, I now realize that multiple people have done similar things recently, sorry if your ideas are in this.
First off, no enchantment should cost more than 30 levels. That would make it impossible to get. Sure you can combine two Level 3 enchantments at an Anvil, but currently, every Enchantment that you are supposed to be able to get, you can get with 30 levels on at least one tier of items. So I'd change the Diamond in the Rough to be 3 levels, with the highest one being rare with 30 levels, and severely lower the chances of Diamonds. With those odds, you would get about 10 diamonds per rod (65 uses total, 15% chance means 9.75 diamonds, then rounding up). That is WAY too much imo.
I immediately do not like numbers 1, 4, and 5. 1 makes no sense, as fish cannot swim in lava. I know, I know, Minecraft does not have to be realistic. But there is a difference between realism and making sense in the game's context.
4 seems useless to me. This is basically like bringing a knife to a gunfight, or in this case, a Rod to a Bow fight. Why would I use a Rod when anyone whit a sword or Bow is going to take me out in a matter of seconds?
5 doesn't make sense either. To my knowledge you have unlimited line, but the force of gravity will give you a limited range on the X and Z axes. But you could case a line in a puddle hundreds of blocks below you if you want, at least to my knowledge. My main question is why you would want this, as it would make it harder to see when you have a bite if you are farther away.
I'd also work on the names. I'd use Fortune for something, either number 2 or 6. Use the names we have of similar enchantments first, to lower confusion.

Thank you for the level correction, I wrote this when the highest was fifty and I meant to correct it.
But about the enchantments, Sharpened hook doesn't need to be practical, sure you wouldn't choose a hook over a sword or bow but it adds a fun factor to combat. Fire-proof line would just add an interesting ability to a fishing rod. Lastly, There is an enchantment that you hope you don't get on each item but it still has some kind of use. Thank you for your feedback.
Errr if you had used the search bar you'd see an identical thread to this one posted in only too recently...
Yes, I realize how bad my timing was to repost this, as I said I wrote this in Feb and got good feedback so I thought I should share it with everyone, but this was terrible timing.
