I was doing a Nether survival world lately, when a thought occurred to me. It isn't particularly big or impressive a suggestion, but I figured it could make the game slightly better. Perhaps there could be added the ability to make stairs, half slabs, walls/fences, bricks and other manufactured goods out of some of the more uncommon or exotic building materials, such as netherrack, lapis blocks, obsidian or end stone. Not only would this implement a new use for many of the currently useless blocks in the game, but it would also provide a rather refreshing diversity in building blocks. In the case of netherrack blocks, I was thinking that one would perhaps first have to make them into Nether Brick blocks first, much like sand and sandstone.

When you said "Exotic Material", I was hoping you meant Exotic Matter...
No one gets tachyons these days...
Something of the sort. My main point being that End stone and Netherrack are roughly the Nether and End equivalent of Stone, and therefore should be usable in a similar matter. Just as there are different types of wood, these would be different kinds of stone.
