There is alot of potions in minecraft already but there is still some that need work and some that would be great if added I have a couple suggestions --------------------------------------------------
Ore vision: It grants the ability to see ore's by giving a glowing effect on all visible ores so they are easier to spot in caves, (like redstone when you walk over it)
Ore vision standard last 4:00 minutes
Ore vision II has a brighter effect on ores but last 2:00 minutes
Ore vision (extended) last 8:00 minutes
It is brewed with a gold ingot over a awkward potion
Resistance: it improves the damage resistence of the player from 1 1/2 hearts of damage at starting level, it would protect from all types of damage equally.
Resistence Standard it lasts 4:00 minutes
Resistence II protects from 3 hearts of damage but lasts 3:00 minutes
Resistence (Extended) Protects 1 1/2 hearts of damage and lasts 6:00 minutes
It is brewed with a iron ingot and is improved with a glowstone and extended with redstone
Haste: It Grants faster speed of breaking blocks with all items.
Haste standard lasts 4:00 minutes, breaks stuff 1.5 times faster
Haste II lasts 3:00 minutes but doubles breaking speed
Haste (extended) Lasts 8:00 minutes, breaks stuff 1.5 times faster
It is brewed with cocoa beans and is improved with glowstone and extended with redstone
Aura: Emits a light around the player similar to redstone torch
Aura standard lasts 6:00 minutes and emits light similar to a redstone torch
Aura II emits a light of a regular torch around the player and lasts 4:00 minutes
Aura (extended) lasts 10:00 minutes and emits a light similar to a redstone torch
It is brewed with Glowstone dust and is improved with glowstone dust and extended with redstone dust
Water adaption: It would make water your air and you would swim faster in it and not be slowed in breaking blocks while under water

Improved version would allow you to swim faster but last 2:30 minutes
extended version last 7:30 minutes
It is brewed with a slimeball and is improved with glowstone and extended with redstone.

You should make it so we can choose more than one option from the poll in my opinion. I would like to see a Haste and Resistance Potion added, but I am not too sure about the Ore Vision Potion.
i dont want the ore vision one at all. and also the improvements and extensions would be redstone and glowstone like they have always been. i dont even see why you want them different.
