You should take down that last point, because we now do have a pushable power block- the redstone block. Other than that, a lot of people seem to support, so I don't see why not.
Support! Also can you maybe add an idea about using slimeballs to make blocks stick to each other so that they will move with the sticky piston? I mean for example:
PEBSBSBSBSBSBS
P=piston, E=piston extension, B=blocks, S=slimeballs
Then you retract the piston:
PBSBSBSBSBSBS
So all the blocks move with the first block?

Asking for updates is spam. Really.
I make some mods that are pathetically slow to update. Join in on the wait here and here.

Sure we do. And we turn the redstone block off exactly how?
Still relevant, even after the redstone update. Support.

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

i like your idea but see one illogical thing, pistons push one block in one second, if there was a cactus on sand and the sand was pushed, the cactus would fall over. this relates to other things ,signs and ladders i can see hanging on, but a torch and other things like it, no. I support your idea though

If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
Dependent blocks
I don't see why they haven't implemented this already. We already HAVE dependent blocks, like how a torch is connected to a block, so I don't see any problems with programming it. Practical uses
Here is another idea that could be possible. By using double piston extenders, you could make a four way rail intersection! There is a east-west rail line with one rail gone. The pistons push 5 blocks (north/south) holding 4 rails, with no middle rail. Alternating which set of pistons that are extended changes the direction of the diverging (North/South) rail line. Simple put a redstone torch under the switch track and you have a way to control it!
Actually, I just realized this can be done already. However, your idea would make it much more compact. Vehicles and robots in vanilla minecraft
Makeshift vehicles would be awesome! I don't knowexactly what I would build yet, but still, awesome..... Infinitely extensible memory
I'm glad you understand this, because I sure don't. Extra compactness for redstone mechanisms
Your design for a memory switch may be a bit obselete. Can't we do this with redstone blocks now?

I support this 100%, and the banner is pretty stylish so I'm going to use that as well. :3

That was quite the missed opportunity. It would have been so amazing to see in the game.
