I think it would be cool to be able to craft sculptures out of clay. When you place the statue, it would be like a painting, placing a random sculpture either one two, or rarely three blocks high.
Some examples:
1: Bust of Head (one block high)
2: Gargoyle Head (one block high)
2: Full Gargoyle (two blocks high)
3: Statue of Creeper (two blocks high)
4: Statue of Person (two blocks high)
5: Dragon (three blocks high)
6: Statue of sitting Cat (one block high)
Maybe the sculpture could also randomly drop as other "sculpted" clay items, such as plates, cups, and teapots as well. This would greatly increase the amount and variety of decorative items, and make interiors of building much more interesting.
I suggest that it be sculpted with two clay blocks on top of each other.
Yeah, I think firing them would be a great idea. I'd prefer only one statue with different sizes though, in the same way that paintings come in different sizes. It would just keep things simpler.
I want scluptures. That'd be nice. I want a fox statue (cuz I <3 foxes). But I know that's not gonna happen. ;^;
Either way, sculptures would be a really nice addition to the game.
I would like it if sculptures weren't random though and instead you could choose the kind you wanted by using dye or something. As for plates and such, that'd also be another really nice addition (but I don't think those should be random with scluptures either).
As for paintings, I think you should also be able to choose the painting using dye or something.
I like this, except the painting system sucks. We should be able to select which one we want. Anyway, having Roman, Egyptian, and minecraft style statues would be great... They could range from one to ten blocks high (for the largest of temples)....
