Dont you wanna create your own jams to listen to? You know you want to. Yeah. yeah you do.
I havent really thought it through to were you can create one... but maybe this could be acceptable or something.. Right click the JukeBox with no disc in your hand (Any other items other then a disc it fine) - and then it would pop up with a box asking you would you like to create your own disc? (Yes) or (No) is below.
You have to have an un-used disc in your inventory or hotbar though to create one.
I havent though about what would happen next but I guess thats for you to explain to me.

Actually, no I don't. I have no reason to do this, because if I want to listen to other music besides the stuff in Minecraft I just pop open iTunes or Windows Media Player or any of the other programs for playing music.
I assume you mean something like turning .mp3 files into discs, but I'm not sure because you don't have an explanation on what this does or how it does it. Is it an in game music editor or is it just attaching mp3 files to blank discs? Can you share them? If you can, using an in game music editor would be possible, but with mp3 files it would be much harder and in many cases highly illegal.
So I need information on this. But for my two notions on how it would work:
In game editor: Sure it was fun in Mario Paint, but we really do not need it in Minecraft This would entail a ton of extra work by the devs for a tiny niche market.
MP3 files: Not ever going to happen due to the legal ramifications that could arise from being able to upload any mp3 and give it or play it over the internet. Even if you cannot share or play discs for other people to hear, adding a bunch of encoders to make Minecraft do what you can do with another program is silly, especially since a Java music player, limited to one CPU core (because Minecraft is too), would tax your system WAY more than running iTunes in the background.

Err.. Um I didnt mean it like that, ok man.. I meant it for the enjoyment of minecraft and just hanging out with your friends and showing it to them or something..
Jeez.. people gotta share so much of their opinion sometimes.. sheesh... :I
And iTunes or windows media you could not likely create your own song and share it with you friends.

Theres a HUGE different to let you know.
Precisely why I asked what you meant. You never said what exactly it would do or how it would work. You never said it would be an in game music making feature or if it was something else. It is not other peoples fault for not knowing what you mean when you don't tell them. As for making songs, you can't do that in itunes or wmp, sure. But there are more appropriate and easier ways to make songs for friends that don't require hours of coding that hardly anyone will use. It just isn't needed.
As for giving my opinion, that's why this forum exists. To give ideas and opinions on other's ideas. That's basically the definition of a forum.

Perhaps you don't understand how the suggestion forum works so let me explain: you have an idea and then, if it's original and carefully thought out, you post it here for other people to discuss and give their opinion on. If it's a really good idea and people like it enough then maybe, just maybe, Mojang would consider adding it to the game. What you do not do is post part of an unoriginal idea, tell people to come up with the rest for you and then insult people when they don't understand what you mean because you've explained your fragment of a suggestion badly.
This. It's pretty immature to angrily insult people simply for not agreeing with you.
No! MP3 files would cause legal issues, and with a mic? Someone could record something shockingly inappropriate for younger people and then hide it in their house.
