So I think multiplayer mode would be better if there was a big list of working servers that you choose if you want your server to be on. Im suggesting this because its a lot easier than looking through a website for good servers , typing htem in, and then having them mostly not work.
So a new GUI with a list of all available minecraft servers that you could theoretically connect to? The list would be at least 1,000 servers long. No support, websites are fine.
There'd be far too many. Literally anyone can make a server, and a lot of people like running their own servers. There's thousands and millions of Minecraft servers out there (if not more).
If anything Mojang should make their own official servers/offer a service which allows people to make an "official" server which would appear on this list. But even then, that probably wouldn't work out very well because over time servers become impossible to play on from the spawn area due to all the resources being used and new players eventually have to travel thousands of blocks to find any resources. Having to travel that far with no resources will likely end with you dieing of either starvation or just getting killed by a mob at night. I've actually been on a server with a problem like this before, I had to travel hundreds of blocks before I found a single tree.
Setting parameters to filter the server list by would actually require... an in-game server browser. Dunn dunn DUNNN. Otherwise, you're left to dozens of server lists, some that can be filtered, some which are mostly ads.
You know, because Minecraft is lacking this rather rudimentary feature, server list websites popped up as a workaround. These websites don't exist because they're the better alternative, but because it was the only way to inform players about servers. They're workarounds, no more; and an internal server browser wouldn't even take anything away from them. "It would be optional, so why complain?" Lol...
Millions of not more? Hyberbole and FUD much? Nah -- way bigger games have server browsers that work just fine. It's not like you can't exclude servers based on ping, amount of players, and installed mods or whatnot. It's not like you have to view them all at once, either, that's what sorting and scrolling is for. Of course, it would have to be less idiotic, like actually using the screen resolution and a decent font, putting it all into one line, instead of 3 with a lot of useless padding. There's a lot of open source, and even more commercial games that figured it out just fine. Stop being noobs ya'll, you're ruining it for the rest.
Google can find you a nice server fine, so it would take unnecessary code.

That has to be the worst excuse I've seen.
It's basically saying, "i like it, so it should be added to the game nao. wait u dont like it? then too bad, its gonna be in the game anyway so the only thing you can do is try to forget its not there."
Also, you know why Minecraft lacks this "rather rudimentary feature"?
It's not necessary in the slightest, it would be a waste of Mojang's time, and also there's already an official server browser.

I wouldn't be surprised if millions of servers existed - practically anyone can make a server, whether it's a popular survival games server with 500+ people, or a server that someone created for fun then forgot about it.
Even when it's "sorted", it would still take hours to find a single server that you were looking for, scrolling through all that.
Also, your careless use of words is starting to get on my nerve - please stop.

As for the OP, why not use this?
