considering now with flower pots bricks actually serve a function i see no reason why brick blocks cant be disassembled into their individual bricks just like any other ore

Every time a mod author makes a new "TOOL" God Kills a Kitten. Think of the Kittens, ADD Omniwrench Support To Your Mods !!!
Well you can, provided you want to spend several hours with a chisel and don't mind breaking most of them. That being said, there is plenty of clay so this really isn't all that needed.

I always find the logic of people like you astounding you willingly accept any number of unrealistic mechanics that naturally exist in the game and than turn around and fight tooth and nail to prevent any new functionality that might possible make the game easier. also when a building is demolished bricks are usually recycled. also considering you can break down solid blocks of gold iron and diamond without the use of a furnace or crucibles needed to actually melt the block and form it back into ingots this isn;t really that off the wall.
That stuff they use to connect the bricks make it impossible to disassemble bricks.
