I was wondering could a modder possibly add in a mod where you can either craft a vessel (via a crafting recipe by possibly making bits of it then putting it together) or make a single block that acts like the block from the Zeppelin mod BUT have it where you can craft a cannon (medieval or current) and put it on the ship and the block recognizes it as a cannon and allow you to shoot it via left mouse click.
I was thinking it could also add in:
A new setting?:
Where you can choose what era your in at anytime in the game. Medieval: You face pirates and sailors in Medieval ships. Modern: You face them in modern ships.
A new Biome:
An actual Ocean biome, where it's just a huge expanse of deep deep water where there's few islands.
A Trade ship:Doesn't have many weapons. Just huge amounts of storage.
A Submarine:
Current version with AA gun (on top deck), missiles and torpedo's. A command, engineering, cafeteria, brig and engineering. As well as barracks and storage.
A Destroyer:
Like the current version of a destroyer and have it where it's 50 blocks long and 15 wide. Has a bridge and engine room as well as a brig and a bunch of empty corridors and rooms so the player can place the rest. (have it where you can either find a damaged one out on a island or underwater and you can repair it or have it where you can craft it (a little hard though)) Already has a cannon on the front (controllable by entering the bridge and going to a certain panel) and missiles and torpedo's (but you have to craft new torpedo's, Missile's and shells for the weapons)
A Battleship:
Same just 64 blocks long and 30 wide. Only has a bridge and engine room as well as pre placed barracks and storage and the empty corridors and areas. (Have to craft and it's very very hard to do) (already has the tri-cannon's (as I call them) and the other items, have to craft ammo)
The captains chair:
You have to craft for the battleship or destroyer to control what direction you go or you can craft for a ship you made so you can completely control it.
Cannons:
Both Medieval and current. Can be controlled by Lt. Commander or player that is at a control panel for weapons. Has a small chest full of inventory to hold the shells in, stackable. For Medieval one, you just stack the cannon balls next to it and an npc or player goes to it to control it. Also can be placed on land. Used in ship crafting recipe .
Torpedo's, missiles, AA gun (no not for aircraft, just so you can fire upon land without decimating the landscape) Same as cannon as for control. Except for AA gun, have it where anyone that goes up to it and right clicks (unless npc then just goes up to it) can control it.
Ammo for all the weapons
Land Defenses: A outpost: where there are cannons and AA guns. As well as marines, sailors ,Commander etc. and traders. A Naval base: where friendly ships are found as well as high amounts of Missiles, and Missile launchers, AA guns, cannons and torpedo' s.
A few new mobs:
Civilian:
So you can hire a crew for your ship, also can get large amounts via the way you get villagers. Captain: Either player (if created or repaired ship) or NPC for other vessel. Commander: Makes decisions and controls ship when your not at the Captains chair (if you command him to) also, if you go on land and command him to control the ship, he'll drive the ship but will stay near where you got off. Lt. Commander: Main engineer or Controls weapons at control panel on bridge. First Lieutenant: Leads team of Marines on board to fend off attackers on board ship. Second Lieutenant: Goes aboard enemy vessel or land instead of a high ranking officer. Marines: Defends ship or goes on land, simple enough. Sailor: Helps protect and repair ship, as well as help attack other ships.
Others can go up in rank if someone above them gets promoted or dies. Pirate:
What fun would it be to sail around on a boat without having to show off the fire power? Other Sailors:
Ones that control Destroyers and Battleships (RARE) and other ships that are either friendly or hostile (just to make it interesting). Trader: They'll trade you items and sometimes will help you.
A few other bits and bobs (such as sails for medieval ships etc. Maybe even the ability to control a fleet (only like a fleet of 25 or so)maybe even other ships, up to you.) Control panel for weapons (on Destroyer or Battleship) located at the bridge. M16 for marines, have to craft clip for it. Marines can hold up to one M16 and 10 clips. Radar so you can see other ships that are out of sight range. Radar and all that already come with the ship lol. You can craft them so you can put it on land but you don't need it for the ship. A crafting table for the ships.
Please please please can a modder create this, I know that it seems like a lot but you can always test it out and if it doesn't work then stop making it. Also if you want I can give the possible recipes.

I know a bunch of people have suggested something like this already and that there's the zeppelin mod but I don't want to control something like that with a num pad since I'm on a Laptop and I'm not the only one who has only a Laptop plus the fact that you can't do damage against land (and npc's can't control it lol) and also I'm not suggesting it to be put in the game. Only as a mod since number one: Minecraft isn't about riding on a destroyer it's about mining (duh) and second: Notch already has enough on his mind.
Well, if there is a lot of posts about a certain subject, just add onto existing posts unless your idea is completely different.\
Wishlists are terms for a list of unrelated ideas in one suggestion, and I really don't think the submarine and civilian fit with the ship theme. Plus all mod wishes are to be in the mod discussion sub-forum.

Ok, as for the submarine......I hear you lol, just something I wrote down on accident. The civilians are how you get sailors and will either volunteer to be for the Navy (the npc one) or will become traders and oh....I'm new to suggesting mods lol. I didn't know, Thanks!
Well, why not buy villagers as sailors instead of the mobs.
Although the freaky nosed sailor idea might work to scare the enemy, I'd like to have them look a little........human lol, though I don't mind either way, it's the mod makers choice.
There is already a biome called 'Ocean' and it's exactly like you want it.
I shouldn't blame him, the search function is utter .
