I loved the addition of pistons but there use is limited so here are 2 new things to compliment them. I may add more ideas if I have any and if you have some you may like and if so please post them below.
1: Turntables. turntables would appear as pistons but with a green body and work differently. they would be built like pistons but with iron instead of stone. right clicking on one would pull up a GUI that lets you say how fast it turns, how many times it can turn, and if it resets position when it loses redstone signal.
to restrict what it moves you need to lubricate the blocks. you can do this by right clicking on block with a slimeball. this will stop turntables from moving these blocks note: it is directional so turntables can still move the block from non-lubricated sides.
2: Gearboxes. these can be used to vertically/horizontally move blocks. it is made like a piston but with iron instead of wood. right clicking on it will open the GUI and let you edit it the direction it moves blocks, if it resets position when it loses redstone signal, and how fast it moves.
to determine what blocks it will move you need brackets. they are made something like this:
it will give you 6 brackets and is applied like lubricant. gearboxes can only move blocks if facing brackets and will stop moving if the next block has no bracket on it. you can use lubricant to separate the blocks you want to move from the ones you don't. attempting to move a group of blocks larger than the ones the gearbox(es) are attached to will cause the gearbox and any blocks attached to it to move instead.
final note groups with bedrock are immovable and if nether group of blocks has any bedrock in it the smaller group will be moved.
3:redstone logic gates. redstone logic gates need to get in game along with other things of the like. there are 3 ways to do this.
1, just give us individual logic gates. and 2, give us one gate but when we right click on it we can mess around in a 50x50 area to compact a logic gate in to one block. in this area it can have 4 areas where redstone can enter/leave and redstone current can run on forever.
also connected levers. if 2 or more levers are on 1 block toggling 1 will toggle the other. this can better help the creation of doors as levers can be connected to each other.
