As most of us know. the Mojang team has spent alot of time on updates for us. But they seem to be neglecting the obvious problem. Performance. What good are updates if We lag out too much to use them. I recently found out that 1.4.2 for me was even more laggy the 1.3.2. I know, some people will suggest Optifine and all that. But still, guys, think about it. Think about how much more our community will grow if we get a performance update.
I think that was a good speech. Lol. But still guys. Think about how this would benifit us.
I would not mind if they spent all of 1.5 on fixing bugs, improving performance, and working on the Mod API

They are specifically working on the rendering and lighting engines which will greatly aid in the performance and stability issues that we've been faced with. Likewise, after the creator of OptiFine essentially told them to screw themselves when MC approached about including several of the features in vanilla, Mojang went ahead and started working on something even better, according to tweets by Dinnerbone a few weeks ago.
So, expect a number of performance issues to be fixed in the very near future. The snooper as well as the bug tracker are the key to the upcoming improvements.
Mojang is currently trying the hardest they can to improve Minecraft's stability. They plan to make performance improvements, as well as a new rendering engine for 1.5. https://twitter.com/...801989246164993
Pretty cool what I learned from this topic. I also think they should because I have to use optifine all the time. Like said the snooper setting will probably help. Also if they're monitoring chats, they should get some lols from that.

Mmm.....I get a bluescreen once a month from minecraft. My processor is literally frying itself to run this game, and I am loving every minute of it. With an average of about 15 fps, which is the best compromise I can get, it would be lovely to have more stability. as it's coming, good work mojang, eagerly awaiting.
