1. The duration of the starting potion is 1:00 long. With redstone, the duration becomes 3:00.
2. Implement a slow while walking on water similar to that of soul sand. Yes, this is for all of you "THIS IS OP" kind of people. This effect can be offset by Swiftness potions or sprinting, but that's up to the player.
3. Horses are not affected by this potion, since this would compete with the niche of the boat.
4. A player using this potion ignores all water currents' effects on movement.
5. The opposite of the Potion of Water Walking is the Potion of Submersion/Drowning. (Possibly vote for the name?) Its' effects have not been determined yet.
6. While affected by this potion, if a player wishes to submerge, all they have to do is crouch. They will break the plane of the surface of the water and be able to swim normally. Similarly, if a player wishes to walk on water again, they must simply jump out of the water and back on top of the surface of the water.
Kinda a funny suggestion, but can't you just use a boat instead of Wasting Nether Wart to create a potion?
Wood is really expensive nowadays. Besides, this could be very useful in adventure maps, aswell as potentially adding a way to walk over lava? I think this is a great idea.

True. I would still love to use the potion regardless. And if it is a little pool of water it would make it easier to just run across rather than either swim around or walk around, for those lazy people. I am of course one of them haha.

Huh, when did wood become expensive, it is renewable after all, just look around you, there is Wood everywre, even on servers (I'm not a griefer but you can still buy it to start a farm) Thats jut like saying Diamond is cheap nowadays

It seems you didn't pick up on my sarcasm. Boats are quite unagile, while this would be.

This would also give Lily Pads an actual use, other than being able to beautify a lake or fountain.
I agree on both. Support to this!

How is wood expensive? It's a renewable resource.
(And if it was supposed to be sarcastic, it was a bad one)
I don't really support this, as while lilypads are fairly difficult to get, each lilypad will yield three potions, making it a bit overpowered.
Maybe it could be just a potion effect that can be hacked into the game, making it useful for adventure maps, while at the same time not handing it to Survival.

Thats kind of contradicting of what you just said. Since they are difficult to get, making three potions seems fair. It's fine if you don't support it of course, but just wanted to point that out. I may have read that wrong and if I did, my apologies.

I was saying that lilypads are slightly difficult to get (you have to find a swamp biome and swim around), but they're not like diamond-rare.
A 10-minute lilypad gathering trip will yield about less than a stack of lilypads with some effort, and times 3 is about 2.5 stacks of potions.
But don't get me wrong - I would definitely want a Waterwalking potion to fast travel between areas in adventure maps, but in survival mode it would make boats completely useless.
I like the idea, but I fail to see when it would be particularly useful... You can already swim in water, and a potion of fire resistance will save you from lava.
It would be with an awkward potion and a Lily Pad. It lasts for 1 minute, 3 minutes with the improved duration.

Curse PremiumPie is delicious. That is all.

For the people that want lava, think about it. You are walking on something that is molten rock.
No for anyone who wants lava, yes for the main idea!
Me too! All Kirby related characters deserve a +1 on my page.
