I (and many other people) have been playing Minecraft since it was in its buggy alpha state, but few things have been done to recognise this fact.
What I am proposing is that the people who bought Minecraft while it was in its alpha stage should get something like a cloak that would say to other people "I helped make this game what it is today". You could say this is bragging, but it would work on the same principle as the Minecon cloaks, which some people will have two of very soon. I personally have not been able to attend Minecon due to the fact that I live in South Africa. I know many people have this same problem.

Actually, that is, in fact bragging. Buying the game earlier does not mean you have special rights.
While I don't really care about capes as they are just a vanity item, you're honestly sounding arrogant. People in alpha weren't the only helpers, you realize this right? Plus, the players were mostly finding bugs; Mojang rarely adds community suggestions.
Now don't get me wrong, Mojang DOES add some community suggestions, but most are ignored, rejected, or simply not noticed.

Super Hostile maps I've completed: Spellbound Caves (Yeah, I pretty much suck.)
