Hello! I am concerned about the last (for now) update. It added the ability to spawn slimes in the swamp biome, thus is depreciating slimeballs. Used to have to look for chunks, to invent and build farms, but now anyone can safely go at night in swamp biome and easily get slimeballs. Game, and so each time getting easier! Propose or reduce the chance of spawn, or remove it completely and add an object to which it will be possible to determine that the chunk can spawn slimes.
true slimes have became alot easier to find, maybe they could make it less spawn at a time, Less slimeball drop rate or move the into caves under swamps?
first time i found them i gathered like 2-3 stacks in a single trip. they should be harder to get then that.
I guess reduce spawn rate story time! Gather round and listen so okay.
Me and my brother were playing LAN world called 'Minetime' and we found a swamp, slimes were there a lot, and we got like 2 stacks in one night so its a little bit too common, but not to the point where they're non-existant that would be a problem. /endofstorytime
How about a new biome which is named "Slime Swamp" and the normal swamp being "Swamp"
In slime swamps, the swamp is very pollute and there are many slime puddles on the ground and in caves. You can mine these for slimeballs, or silk touch if you really want it. Slimes spawn in this biome aboveground at night, and most of the chunks touching this biome are slime chunks.
In normal swamps, they have more chances of Witch Huts (does not mean witch huts cannot spawn in slimed ones) thus, making both swamps useful.
I'm new to the game, and 1.4.2 was my first outing. I made the mistake of building a home in a swamp. The night times are unbearable because of the sounds the many slimes make while I'm trying to craft, cook, unwind, etc. Every night, 1-5 slimes spawn within earshot of my home. The noises!!! I vote for the spawn rate to go down considerably; say, 10-20% of what it is now.
Yeah, I kill them because of the noise but I don't use any of the slimeballs I collect.I think it's incredibly overpowered that they just added this feature that completely ruins the adventure of roaming caves to find a slime spawning chunk.
I fully support and want to see this post grow so Dinnerbone may notice it.
Large biomes? I like the change, considering how annoying it is to find slime chunks, but i found a couple at my base, whatever. The only swamp that I have found on my 1.0 world is about 1000 or so blocks away. It all changes with the seed.
