I actually like this a lot. However, I think dirt should have x1, because they are kind of the base for all fall damage. Also, I would make the .25x 10 blocks. 12 seems a bit much.
However, I support this.

Curse PremiumFor example, landing on a softer block would result in lesser fall damage than landing on hard block.
Some blocks increase fall damage.
Wool: 0.5x
Sand: 0.75x
Leaves: 0.25x
Grass: 0.75x
Dirt: 0.75x
Huge Mushroom: 0.75x
Glass: 0.75x and inflicts bleeding damage (Glass breaks)
Ice: 0.5x and inflicts bleeding damage (Ice breaks)
Snow: 0.25x
Bed: 0.25x
Wood Log: 80% chance of 1.0x, 20% chance of 1.25x
Wood Planks: 90% chance of 1.0x, 10% chance of 1.25x
Cactus: 1.25x (Ouch!)
Damage multiplier also determines how high you have to fall to take fall damage.
0.75x: 4 blocks
0.50x: 6 blocks
0.25x: 12 blocks
It doesn't make sense to take large falling damage when you land on leaves or wool.
Wool is soft and therefore you should take lesser fall damage.

wood should be about
1.25x because have you jumped and landed on a tree?
