Hey guys, I was thinking Minecraft needs more animals. Killing pigs, sheep, chickens and cows gets boring after a while. We need Birds, Ducks, Horses, Marlin, Fish, Bulls, Seals, Bears, Penguins, Boar and Rams all in vanilla minecraft. They could also add new items with these animals: Horns/tusks for bulls and rams, different coloured feathers for birds and ducks, Meat from all animals and beaks from penguins. This would add a new element to the game, giving new possibilities and new items. We could make weapons with these items. There could be fisherman and butchers in villages that ask for meat from new and old animals.
I think more aesthetic animals, like the bats I think there should be birds and squirrels
Also I think that your animal choices are a bit poor, normally the animals are added for a decent purpose in the game (sheep = wool, cows = leather, milk and meat, pigs = meat and riding, chicken = feathers, meat and eggs, mooshrooms = mushrooms) I think that the choices should be based on ideas for game additions, not the animals
For example: Bees, they will be at a hive neutral until the hive is hit, once it is hit up to 15 bees come out doing half a heart of damage each, when they are all killed you can mine up the bee hive to get honey, honey is then used to make potions, food and can be eaten raw. The food could include sandwiches, toast or mixed with sugar to make sweets which make the player happy. The potion can be a happiness potion. When the player is happy it does everything better, mine faster, walk faster, fight better and take less damage

Creeper Hugging, Its fun but it might be the last fun thing you do
I dont think they are really needed in the game because i cant see the point of it and if your asking there needs more variety in the Food Section then you should look at the latest update
But if your asking for more animals for some more realism then you should get the mod called "Mo Creatures" which has a lot of different animals

It actually depends. With the recent 1.4 update, I think that this suggestion might actually be implemented in the near possible future. Minecraft definitely needs more mobs like perhaps, penguins or polar bears in the cold, tundra biomes. Or camels and snakes in the desert biome. Atmospheric mobs definitely makes Minecraft more vibrant and exciting than it already is.
Like you've mentioned, it would be a really cool idea if you could get mob drops from these new mobs and use it to make new weapons. Minecraft needs more weapons because the standard weapons doesn't provide much variety for players to use. I disagree about the trading part though. Minecraft revolves around the survival aspect, trading is just a small element of survival.
A simple trading system has already been implemented for trading with NPC Villagers, I doubt they will further develop and work on the trading aspect because Minecraft has always been about survival and that is their top priority.
"Minecraft could use more atmospheric mobs. Turn down the bats a bit and instead get some birds into forests, snakes into the desert, fish into the oceans, penguins into taiga. It's not so hard to make models for them, the AI I'm not sure about how hard that is though"
I agree with you here, I was discussing these sorts of things with my friends at school and mentioned a portion of what you have stated here. They agreed almost instantly and one of them said "Imagine what we could do with snake poison for example, we could put it on weapons to kill things faster. We could ride different sorts of animals through different biomes."

I agree with a few of your opinions for example:
