My idea for notch is in the computer version and xbox version of minecraft is to place a 3 block high door. its the same exact thing as a 2 block size door but for temples and manisions. you know like if you have a 4 bloc 1st floor house and a huge house you can use a 3 block insted of 2.well yep thats about it and i hope notch sees this thanks for reading.
Not a bad idea, I guess. I don't know if I'd consider it worth implementing...
As to how it would be crafted, I'd suggest crafting a door and then crafting two of the same material used to craft it above it?
For example, if you craft a wooden door, to make a 3-block-tall version you'd put the wooden door on the bottom of the crafting table and two wooden planks vertically above it (one in the middle slot and one in the top).
I can think of a couple more uses for it, too; letting endermen through doors, being able to jump through doors... That's about it.
What about aesthetics?

If you mean to ask how it would look in the game, it'd probably be pretty easy to make... Just, you know, a tall door.
If you mean to remind me of aesthetics because I didn't list it in my post, that's because it was listed in the original post.
I meant the latter, but fair enough >.>

As far as how to craft bigger things, I always thought the best solution for that would be to have a larger crafting table made of 9 blocks of wooden planks that would let you craft bigger recipes. But that won't happen just for a big door.
