So, I get that all the cool NBT stuff is mostly for map makers, but one thing I would really love for creative is if we could get those player heads set to a player. I see a simple way of doing this: Name the skull with an anvil.
Simple right? Just name it after a player (proper caps) and bam! You have that players head.
Obviously it would be nice if it also put the texture on the inventory version as well (just the face) but even without that it would be awesome.
Head Skins: Yes
Anvil: No, Anvils are just for repairing Items
But in creative mode it would be cool
We have head skins, it just requires NBT edit to do it. The anvil is the item naming tool, works on anything, it even works on heads. They just keep looking like heads though. My suggestion is that a named head should take on the texture of the player who it is named after (if such a player exists).

It would also be cool if the anvil hit a player on the head it would chop there head of and drop a skull of there head.. obviously this would need to be balanced so i think it would be fair if it would be guaranteed to damage the anvil if it drops a player head.
