Do you think minecraft should have skills similar to fallout?
You could have skills that depend on your advantages to certain blocks, items or mobs like:
Trade--villagers
Building--[blocks]
Mining--pickaxe
Crafting/Blacksmithing(one or two skills)--crafting table
Woodwork--axe, wood
Hunting--[passive mobs]
Digging--shovel
Transport--boat, minecart
Swords--swords
Bows--bows
Enchanting--enchantment table
Repair--anvil
Smelting--furnace
Inscription--book and quill, maps, signs
Engineering--redstone
Music--[music/record] box
cooking--anything "filed" under "foodstuffs"
Farmer--Hoe
Skinning--Shears
Brewing--brewing
Looting--loot
fishing--fishing rod
etc
etc
you would start with everything at level 1, meaning you can do things but only to small intervals and speeds.
every time you level up you can level a certain amount of skills.
so for example, crafting. at level 1 you can craft a few basic things. level two you make toools. each level will be a different material.
Seems just pretty annoying. I don't want make 50 stick just to be able to make a pickaxe, then mine (insert number here) blocks to be able to mine iron. Makes the game seem tless fun and more work.
No thanks. While I like Fallout, the lack of skills is what I like about Minecraft. The only limitations are in game recipes, materials you have, and your imagination.

I like that - "the only limitations are the recipes, materials, and your imagination".
When I click the Minecraft icon, I don't wanna play Fallout.
It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but it shouldn't be crossed with Minecraft.
Skills would just be annoying.
No support.
